ABOUT
Luke Byrne was born in rural South Australia, spending his youth exploring surrounding bush lands by day and watching ex-rental VHS by night.
Growing up in Port Augusta, a town often referred to as ‘the crossroads of Australia’, his youth involved characters from all walks of life passing through the town. Those early experiences shaped Luke’s photography then, and they still do today.
Having lived in Sydney, Melbourne, and Hobart - being on the move has helped his passion grow. Since winning the Photography Award for Excellence in his graduating year at The University of South Australia, Luke has strayed from convention, setting up his own business "The Adventure Handbook" as well as tutoring aspiring photographers. Now living in Adelaide, Luke takes every opportunity to see as much of his new terrain as he can.
Luke has been published in many local and international magazines, and has exhibited in solo and group shows in Australia, China, America and the UK.
